Valdosta SGA holds Health Fair, Raises Funds
On February 18, 2009, SGA of Valdosta held a Health Fair for GMC students, faculty, and staff. There were 20 tables setup with participants from the health care field as well as other related areas. Tables with health-related information were setup by SGA, SSL, the Environmental Science Club, the Stock Club and the History Club. SGA provided a hospitality room for the participants and door prizes for the attendees. There were 500 attendees for the event. SGA presented a check to GMC to be used for military needs in Haiti and one to Partnership Cancer Fund. These funds were raised from a Silent Auction held by SGA in the Fall of 2009. Thank you to the club volunteers for being participants. A big thank you to the SGA officers and members for their dedication and hard work in planning and conducting the Health Fair.
