From I-20: Take exit 114 Madison. Take Hwy 441 South to Milledgeville. Turn left on Montgomery Street and then right on Wayne Street. Turn left on Caraker Avenue and take an immediate right on Swint Avenue. Turn right on Linden Court and turn left on Jones Drive.

From Macon: Take Route 49 into Milledgeville, where it turns into Hancock Street. Turn right on South Wayne Street. Turn left on Caraker Avenue and take an immediate right on Swint Avenue.  Take right on Linden Court and then take left on Jones Drive.

From East: Follow Route 16 West into Sparta, joining Route 22 West in Sparta. Follow 22 West until it turns into Hancock Street in Milledgeville. Graduates should arrive by 8:00 am. The Class of 2024 group photograph will be taken at 8:15 am. Venue will open for guests at 8:30 am.

Students may invite up to four guests. We will provide students with four tickets to share with their guests. Guests will need to have their tickets in hand to enter into the activity center. Food, drink, air horns, and other noise makers will not be permitted inside the venue.

GMC-Warner Robins and Dublin will hold a graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 11, at 10:00 AM, at the Homer J. Walker Civic Center in Warner Robins for graduates of the Class of 2022.

The graduation ceremony will be preceded by a rehearsal on Friday, June 10, at 12:00 PM, also at the Homer J. Walker Civic Center.  Rehearsal lasts approximately one hour, depending on the number of graduates and questions.

Homer J. Walker Civic Center
The Homer J. Walker Civic Center is located at 700 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, GA 31093. Parking is located behind the building.

Who is the Class of 2024?
The Class of 2022 includes all students of the Dublin and Warner Robins campuses who submitted a degree application and completed or are on pace to complete a GMC degree between the Fall I 2023 and Summer 2024 quarters. The printed graduation program will include students who fit these criteria. Names are printed as they appear on official academic records. (See also Walking the Stage: Announcement and Pronunciation of Names below.)

Application for Degree and Issuance of Diplomas
The Application for Degree submitted to the Advising Center or Registrar is the student’s official academic request to commit their coursework to a specific degree. Subsequent completion of that degree program’s requirements, including all financial obligations, results in the student’s transcript showing degree completion and the diploma’s delivery to the student.

What Graduates Should Expect

Friday Rehearsal
Arrive at the Homer J. Walker Civic Center by 12:00 PM. Graduates sit in the chairs placed before the stage area. We will begin promptly and expect rehearsal to last less than an hour. We will end with group questions, followed by one-on-one questions if needed, so please save questions until the end.

Saturday Check-in and Line-up
Plan to arrive from 9:00-9:30 AM and be seated by 9:45 AM. PLEASE BE ON TIME! Check-in to receive your name card before being seated. Only limited wardrobe assistance will be available the day of graduation.

Walking the Stage: Announcement and Pronunciation of Names
A name card will be provided at Check-In before the ceremony, and each graduate will carry the name card to the stage area.  Upon giving the card to the speaker, you may state your name to the speaker so it is pronounced correctly when you are called.

Regalia & Proper Attire
Proper attire is required of all students participating in the ceremony. See “Cap, Gown, and Tassel Orders” above.  On the day of the ceremony, graduates should wear dark shoes and semiformal or business casual attire. Please avoid bright colors, khakis, jeans, shorts, high heels, sandals, etc. Students will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony if they are not attired appropriately. Appropriate decoration of caps is permitted. Inappropriate decoration of caps are not permitted and may result in dismissal from the graduation ceremony, or further penalty if warranted.

 Important 2024 Dates:

  • April 1st          – Last day to order Graduation Regalia (cap, gown, stole, and tassel)
  • April 15th        – Last day for Distinguished Graduating Student nomination

Applying for your degree: To qualify for graduation, you must have submitted an Application for GMC Degree form. Please reference above for a link to the form.

Cap and gown: Order cap, gown, tassel and stole online at www.balfourga.com/payments. The cost is $56.95 including shipping. The last day to order online is Monday, April 1, 2024. A 20.00 late fee will be applied to orders after April 1, 2024. Your regalia will be shipped directly to your home.

Date and time of commencement: May 29, 2024

Arrival: Students arrive by 9:00 AM, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 AM

Select the Global Online Leadership campus and follow the prompts.  Students will enter the location, height, weight, and payment information. The regalia includes a black cap and gown, tassel, and red stole.  The cost to ship to your home is $62.95.  If you have a black cap and gown from a previous event, you can order the tassel and red stole only.  If you are an honor graduate, you will receive a gold cord at graduation.  All orders need to be received by October 3rd- after this date a $20 late fee will apply making the cost $82.95.  If you need assistance with your order, please contact the Office Manager Aubrey Terron at 877-927-6703.
