Prep Georgia History Class Learns from Civil War Experts

Reenactors from the 39th Georgia Volunteer Infantry (a.k.a. 3rd Wisconsin) recently presented a lesson in Civil War History to GMC Prep students. 1st Sgt. Mel Daniel offered an engaging lecture about this significant time period to members of MAJ Karen Grimes’ Georgia History Class. Daniel was joined by Private Stacy Williford and Private Jim Rowell (an eighth grade student in MAJ Grimes’ class). The group participates in Civil War reenactments and living history events across the state of Georgia and parts of South Carolina.
