Last Game
                GMC:      September 27 – defeated College of DuPage 52-6 in Glen Ellyn, Ill.
GMC fell behind 6-0 in the first quarter, but the Bulldogs ripped off 52 straight points en route to the 46-point win over College of DuPage.  GMC led just 14-6 at the half, but outscored DuPage 38-0 in the second half.  It also marked the third straight game that GMC scored 50 or more points on offense and held the opponent to 10 points or less.  Seven different Bulldogs scored touchdowns in the game and Nicholas St. Germain added a 21-yard field goal.  Jordan Brown, Jovon Robinson and Tresvon Coakley had TD runs and Dominique Taylor, Keinan Lewis and Quez Nesbitt caught scoring passes from Tyler Herman.  Zentavious Cobb also had a 78-yard interception return for GMC. Devonte Covington had nine tackles while Devontae Freeman and Jarnor Jones each had eight tackles as the GMC defense allowed just 200 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs also blanked an opponent in the second half for a third consecutive game.

                NCC:       September 27 – defeated Lackawanna 45-44 in Garden City, N.Y.
Nassau pulled out a wild 45-44 win over Lackawanna when the Lions blocked an extra point on the final play of the game to preserve the one-point win.  Tied at 31-31 heading to the fourth quarter, Nassau went ahead 45-38 with 1:11 remaining.  However, Lackawanna scored as the clock hit zero to pull within one at 45-44.  But NCC came up with the game-clinching block to keep the Lions undefeated at 5-0.  Ben Holmes was 16-for-24 for 234 yards passing and four TDs and was named the Northeast Football Conference Offensive Player-of-the-Week.  Yahkee Johnson led the way rushing with 41 yards and Mike Richardson had five catches for 71 yards.  The Lions’ defense, led by 11 tackles from Rasul Douglas, came up with five takeaways in the win.
