Iron Pup Challenge wraps up youth football camp

(MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.) – The 2nd Annual Bert Williams Junior Bulldog Day Camp came to a conclusion Friday with the running of the Iron Pup Challenge, an obstacle course centered on football-specific drills and exercises.

Nearly 80 campers hit the course, with Georgia Military College Prep freshman Billy Whitlock posting the best overall time at just over 56 seconds. He was the only camper to break the one minute mark, coming in first place in the Senior Division.

Another GMC Prep student, eighth grader Malik Bradley, finished second in the Senior Division with a time of 1:00.23.

In the Junior Division, Felix Jones came away with the first-place finish, posting a time of 1:03.37. Scott Nibblet’s time of 1:18.04 earned him second place.

In the Youth Division, Peyton Massengale finished first with a time of 1:07.29. Payton Gumby finished second at 1:14.03.
A Punt-Pass-Kick competition was also held at the end of the week.

In the Youth Division, Massengale finished first overall with 67 total yards. Kevin Barlow won the Punt section with a 21-yard punt. Massengale won the Pass section with a 24-yard pass. Zach Williams won the Kick section with a 39-yard kick.

In the Junior Division, Jones finished first overall with 104 total yards. Laughlin Smith won the Punt section with a 29-yard punt. Jones won the Pass section with a 39-yard pass and the Kick section with a 37-yard kick.

In the Senior Division, Hunter Harding finished first overall with 102 total yards. Harding also won the Punt section with a 34-yard punt. Jon Qualls won the Pass section with a 41-yard pass. Jordon Bush won the kick section with a 34-yard kick.
