GMC Employee and Student Brenda McDade Awarded American Cancer Society Scholarship

(Milledgeville, GA) April 23, 2003 – Georgia Military College employee and junior college student Brenda McDade was recently awarded a scholarship from the American Cancer Society, Baldwin County Division. Established in 1999, the college scholarship program is exclusively for students with a history of cancer. The program gives cancer survivors the opportunity to pursue a degree from an accredited university, community college or vocational/technical school. An American Cancer Society college scholarship award is a maximum of $1,000 toward tuition per year. Mrs. McDade is currently pursuing an associate degree in education at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville.
