GMC Drops Tough One to Grand Rapids 63-41

GMC hosted #6 Grand Rapids CC and the fireworks went off early and often but the Bulldogs could not continue to match GRCC in the second half as GRCC pulled away for a 63-41 win. GMC took the lead into halftime 27-21 on the strength of a 3 TD half from FR QB Anthony Riggin and a double pass to Corey Washington. GRCC took the second half kickoff and marched straight down the field to regain the lead and they would not relinquish it from there though the Bulldogs continued to scrap their way into the game. GMC cut the lead to a two score margin on a nice TD toss by Nico Ranieri and recovered an onside kick with about 7 minutes to go in the game, but the Bulldogs tossed an interception in the endzone to end their last threat.
