GMC Prepares for Alumni Weekend

Georgia Military College will host its Alumni Weekend on October 20-22 at the Milledgeville campus. Alumni weekend and reunion activities will allow alumni and friends of GMC the opportunity to enjoy fellowship with former classmates, reminisce about old times, and catch up on the great new things happening at GMC. Some highlights of the weekend will include: Thursday, October 20 5:00 PM Ribbon cutting for the opening of the Old Capital Museum’s fall exhibit “Tenting Tonight on the Old Camp Ground” Friday, October 21 9:30 AM Golf Tournament at the Milledgeville Country Club (Call 478-387-4840 to make reservations no later than Oct 19) 5:30-10:00 PM Dinner and Dance under the Main Tent catered by Jackson’s on Sinclair with music by the Soul Purpose Band Saturday, October 23 10:00 AM Alumni Parade with guest speaker Lieutenant General Max Noah (HS 1948) on Grant Parade 11:00 AM Gourmet Brunch under the Main Tent, catered by Southern Affairs with music by Duke Elton 2:00 PM GMC Junior College football game 5:00-7:00 PM Dinner under the Main Tent, catered by The Willis House 7:00-8:30 PM Mac Frampton and The Moon River Band with Cecil Welch (Henry Mancini’s trumpeter for 20 years) will present “That Mancini Magic!” at The Goldstein Center for the Performing Arts. 8:30-9:30 PM Dessert Reception on Grant Parade For additional information, registration, and ticket details please contact Earlene Hamilton, Coordinator of Alumni Relations, 478-387-4881.
