Del Webb Lake Oconee Veterans Club Present Scholarships to GMC Cadets

Georgia Military College hosted the Del Webb Lake Oconee Veterans Club for a scholarship presentation that awarded four GMC Corps of Cadets members a $500.00 scholarship from the Del Webb Lake Oconee Veterans Club. An additional scholarship sponsored by Mr. Mike Gravgaard was presented to a fifth cadet. Mr. Gravgaard is an Army Veteran that could not see any better way to continue to make a difference than by his donation to help a future U.S. Army officer.

The following Cadets were selected based on their leadership potential, proven academic success and their strength in character.

Cadet Josephine Buckland, Winder, GA Cadet Buckland is a first-year non-sponsored Service Academy Prep Scholar seeking an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies and an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Cadet Jacob Ramirez, Marietta, GA Cadet Ramirez is a first-year non-sponsored Service Academy Prep Scholar seeking an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies and an appointment to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Cadet Maxwell Rischar, Bufford, GA Cadet Rischar is a first-year non-sponsored Service Academy Prep Scholar seeking an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies and an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Cadet Austin Sidener, Savannah, GA Cadet Sidener is a first-year non-sponsored Service Academy Prep Scholar seeking an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies and an appointment to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Cadet Adrianna Floyd, Atlanta, GA Cadet Floyd’s scholarship is a special donation by Mr. Mike Gravgaard, Cadet/Captain Floyd is a Second-Year non-scholarship Early Commissioning Cadet sponsored seeking an Associate of Science Degree in Mathematics and a commission in the U.S. Army next May.

It is an honor to have The Del Webb Lake Oconee Veterans Club be part of the GMC family. GMC is extremely thankful for everything they do to support Veterans and the GMC Corps of Cadets. This presentation is special, as it demonstrates the continued leadership in the community and commitment to develop the next generation of leaders.
