Prep honored for Exemplary Patriotism in the Display of the Flag

The John Milledge Chapter of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution today recognized Georgia Military College for Exemplary Patriotism in the Display of the Flag of the United States. COL John Thornton, GMC Prep School Principal, said, “Georgia Military College takes great pride in the proper display of our nations colors and the teachings associated with that. On our campus, and at all events GMC is a part of, proper etiquette and due respect is afforded to our nations colors.” Pictured, Linda McKnight, Linton McKnight, SAR Flag Chairman and Dan Dixon, SAR President, along with Major Allen Simmons, American History teacher at GMC Prep, and Col John Thornton Principal of GMC Prep School. The group is accompanied by Major Simmons 10th grade American History Class.
