WOFFORD HOSTS LAST SEARC MATCH OF 2011

WOFFORD HOSTS LAST SEARC MATCH OF 2011 Brett Losey, of Virginia, was top shooter for The Georgia Military College Rifle Team this past weekend at Wofford in Spartenburg, South Carolina. Brett had scores of 90-90-87-89-87-86 for a 529 out of a possible 600. A newcomer to the sport of rifle shooting, Markesia Burton, hails from Macon, Georgia. She scored her personal best and took second for the GMC Bulldogs with 84-84-90-88-91-86 for a 523. Michael Roberson, of Juliette, placed third with 87-84-91-85-84-89 for a 520. Bobby McKenna shot a personal best for the team with a 85-91-90-86-84-83 for a total of 517. Bobby is from Chesapeake, Virginia and joined the GMC rifle team in August. The Citadel placed first with a 2238 score out of 2400. Clemson University was second with 2231 and North Georgia College State University with 2227. Top shooter was Robert Jackson of The Citadel with a score of 570. The next Southeastern Air Rifle Conference Match will be held at The Citadel on January 21, 2012.
