Georgia Military College Prep School recently became a National School of Caring to fight hunger and poverty in our local community by participating in the 2010 Souper Bowl. Led by the GMC National Honor Society, the students raised $300.00 for the Baldwin County Meals on Wheels Program. According to www.souperbowl.org, the National Schools of Caring movement has generated $9,861,793 in 2010. National Schools of Caring is a new campaign of the Souper Bowl of Caring, designed to engage youth in learning, service, and philanthropy. The Souper Bowl of Caring began in 1990, with a single group in South Carolina, and in 2007 this movement has over 14,000 groups participating nationwide.
