Prep Gives Donation

(Milledgeville, GA) September 8, 2005 – GMC Prep School sophomores, Rod Dudley, Jenny Park, Kasey Durden, and Caroline Mason presented a check for $1,100 to Brian Price, Store Manager of Lowe’s in Milledgeville, on September 6. Using a slogan termed by senior football player, Rob Ward, “Be the light in the eye of the hurricane,” the money was raised during the prep school football game on September 2 for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Lowe’s activated its in-store customer donation program on Monday, August 29 at all of its more than 1,125 stores nationwide, and will continue accepting donations throughout the month of September. Including Lowe’s match of up to $2 million, the company and its customers have raised more than $5 million for Red Cross disaster relief.
