In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we know many students are facing tough challenges. Georgia Military College is here for you, and we are doing everything we can to ensure no one is left behind. We have plans to provide extensions and support for those affected with the goal of completing the term. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we’ll be flexible and supportive as we move forward. As Quarter 1 ends, we remain committed to your success, so please check here regularly for updates as we monitor recovery efforts. For those who cannot make it to campus, GMC will make every effort to work with you individually. Additionally, we are closely monitoring the development and potential impact of Hurricane Milton. At this time, the storm’s path is being tracked carefully, and there is no immediate cause for alarm in our area. However, we want to ensure that you are prepared and informed in case the situation changes. Your safety is our top priority, and we will communicate any necessary actions promptly on our website, through email, text, and social media as necessary. Learn More

Largest Glee Club in GMC History

The Fine Arts program continues to grow at Georgia Military College, and so does the Glee Club. A total of 170 GMC Corps of Cadets auditioned to be in Glee Club this year, with only 22 making the cut. This year’s group is the largest in GMC history and Glee Club Director, Moona Yu, is excited to get started.

“I’m looking forward to the Glee Club being more involved in our local community this year,” Yu said. “We’re already planning to sing the National Anthem on October 4th at Georgia’s Run for the Fallen, and later on the 19th we’ll do the same at the Will Robinson Memorial Run during GMC’s Alumni Weekend. We’re excited to share these 22 talented voices with our community!”

The GMC Glee Club is an extracurricular club open to Corps of Cadets males. They have to audition and if cast, are committed for the entire academic year. Throughout the fall and winter, the Glee Club has two performances, and a trip to New York City. Last year the group traveled to the Big Apple for three nights to attend Broadway shows and a 90-minute workshop with someone from a current Broadway production. They’ll take that trip again this year, this time with double the group, in February or March.
