JCFB Alumni drafted into NFL

GMC JC FOOTBALL ALUMS DRAFTED INTO THE NFL

Three Georgia Military College JC Football Alums were selected in the 2009 NFL Draft this weekend.

In the 3rd Round, with the 93rd pick, The Carolina Panthers selected Corvey Irvin. Corvey is from Laney HS in Augusta and played defensive line for GMC and also the last two season for the University of Georgia. Corvey was also selected as a Team Captain for UGA last season. He will join former GMC standout Casper Brinkley at the Panthers.

In the 5th Round, with the 150th pick, the Minnesota Vikings selected LB Jasper Brinkley (Casper’s twin) out of the University of South Carolina. Jasper will join former GMC alum Aundrae Allison, WR, who is also currently with the Vikings.

In the 6th Round, with the 183rd pick, The Green Bay Packers selected Jarius Wynn. Jarius was a standout DL for GMC and also for the UGA Bulldogs the last two seasons. Jarius will also join a former GMC Bulldog on the frozen tundra, as Ray Guy Award winner Durant Brooks was traded there last season.
