JC Commencement

The commencement exercises for the members of GMC Junior College Class of 2011 were held on Friday, June 10, 7:00 p.m., on Grant Parade. The Honorable Eric K. Shinseki, Retired U.S. Army General and Secretary of Veterans Affairs, presented the Commencement Address. During the ceremony, Glenda Lynn Reid received the Harold I. Goodrich Award, which is presented annually to one student chosen by the faculty based on the student’s academic achievement, participation in school affairs, leadership on campus, and recognized potential. Immediately after the presentation of diplomas, Ms. Merel Harrison, GMC Prep School Class of 1973, Junior College Class of 1974 and President of the Georgia Military College Alumni Association, welcomed the members of the graduating class into the Alumni Association.
