JC Bulldogs Drop Tough one on the Road to Dean 35-28

The JC Bulldogs traveled to Massachusetts to take on Dean College and suffered their first loss of the season with a 35-28 defeat. The game was back and forth from the start with Dean taking an early lead 7-0 after the Bulldogs took the opening drive down the field but turned it over to Dean inside their own 20 with an interception. GMC answered the next drive, with a touchdown run by Phillip Moore. The Dean answered to regain the lead 14-7, but the Bulldogs responded with two touchdown drives to enter the half up 21-14. Turnovers hampered the Bulldogs in the second half, with a fumble early ending a potential scoring drive. Dean regained the lead at the start of the fourth quarter 28-21, but the Bulldogs battled back with a nice scoring drive to knot it back up 28-28. The Bulldogs could not hold on to the lead however and surrendered another touchdown to fall behind 35-28. The Bulldogs went into hurry up mode, with the ball in hand and 70 yards to go to tie it up, but could not hit paydirt, turning the ball over on downs. The Bulldog D found a way to create a fumble with just under 2 minutes remaining to give the Bulldogs one last chance, but a forced throw resulted in a interception and ended the game. The Bulldogs travel to Little Rock Arkansas this weekend to take on Arkansas Baptist College, Saturday at 1pm CST.
