Prep students recognized for essays about 9-11

During the 2012 “Remembrance Celebration of 9-11-2011” event, Georgia Military College Prep School students were recognized as winners of the Southern Division of the American Legion Americanism Essay Contest. Each student earned a medal from the Department of Georgia for their accomplishments in writing a themed essay, “How Can I Show Patriotism in My Community?” Pictured (left to right), Brooke Grove (9th Grade), Seth Lowery (12th Grade), Colum Lowery (7th Grade), Nicholas Trussell (8th Grade).
