“It’s Showtime” with GMC’s new Prep Theatre and Dance Director

Jenny Morris is Georgia Military College’s (GMC) new Prep School Theatre and Dance Director. Morris will teach drama, dance and musical theatre to Prep School students in grades 6-12. She was born in Virginia, but was raised in Georgia. Morris is a well-known professional choreographer who has showcased her talents across the United States of America.

“I love theatre, I love fine arts, and I’m passionate about teaching students who love it too,” said Jenny Morris, GMC’s Prep School Theatre and Dance Director.

Morris has been teaching drama, dance and musical theatre for 12 years across the state of Georgia, including at Northside High School and Putnam High School. She’s also the Director and Choreographer for the All-State Show of Georgia for Georgia Thespians. Morris said she’s excited to work at GMC’s Prep School.

“I’ve been working with the students at GMC since I’ve been teaching in the area at Putnam High School,” said Morris. “I’ve been working with Mark Weaver, GMC’s Prep Fine Arts Director, for a while and he worked with my mom also and the time was right for me to come here.”

Morris is currently preparing her students for the upcoming musical theatre production of Disney’s Broadway Musical “Aladdin” on February 23-24, 2017.
