Huff to Attend ISEF

C/SSG Alvin Huff, son of Pecola Huff of Milledgeville, will attend the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair 2006 as an alternate (student observer) during the week of May 7-13 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

According to MAJ Leigh Scott, GMC Prep School Biology Teacher and President of the Georgia Association of Marine Education, “Georgia College & State University hosted the Oconee Regional Science Fair in February and due to their affiliation with the International Fair we are able to send one alternate along with one competitor.” Huff will be a part of the official Georgia delegation comprised of student competitors, alternates, sponsor teachers, as well as adults from the educational community and science industry.

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) is the world\’s largest pre-college celebration of science. Held annually in May, the Intel ISEF brings together over 1,400 students from more than 40 nations to compete for scholarships, tuition grants, internships, scientific field trips and the grand prize: a $50,000 college scholarship. Science Service founded the ISEF in 1950 and is very proud to have Intel as the title sponsor of this prestigious, international competition.
