GMC s Tatum Named 2002 Junior College Offensive Coordinator of the Year

(Milledgeville, GA) September 4, 2003 – American Football Monthly magazine named its selections of offensive and defensive coordinators of the year in September’s issue. The top coordinators at each divisional level were chosen and once again a GMC Bulldog finds himself in a position of national prominence.

Coach Jeff Tatum was named the 2002 Junior College Offensive Coordinator of the Year. Coach Tatum has been with the GMC program for four years, three as the offensive coordinator. In those four years, the GMC offense has finished in the top ten, nationally, three times in total offense, and has finished in the top five, nationally, three times in rushing offense. GMC’s offense has also produced five All-Americans under Coach Tatum’s guidance.

A native of Frisco City, Alabama, Coach Tatum received his bachelor and master degrees from Delta State University, in Cleveland, Mississippi. He and his wife, Dawn, and daughter, Munday, reside in Milledgeville, Georgia.
