GMC Prep Senior Elliot Fairbrass Recognized as STAR Student

Georgia Military College Prep School senior Elliot Fairbrass was recognized as was recognized as a top academic scholar in Baldwin County during the Student-Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program held Thursday, February 28, 2013, and hosted by the Milledgeville Chamber of Commerce. Elliot has a cumulative 4.0 GPA and is ranked fourth in his class. He is the High School JROTC Battalion Executive Officer. Elliot represented GMC’s JROTC program at Junior Cadet Leadership Camp where he was promoted to battalion commander of the camp, the highest cadet leadership position. Some of his other activities and honors include vice president of the School Government Association, president of Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Student Advisory Council, Senior Beta Club, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Wofford Scholar, Presbyterian College Academic Achievement Award, Distinguished Order of the Servant Leader Award (100+ hours of community service), Georgia Boys State, Youth Leadership Baldwin and Sacred Heart Catholic Church Youth Group. He also lettered in varsity football and varsity soccer. Elliot named GMC Mathematics Department Chair Linda Brown as his STAR teacher for being such an influential person in his life. After graduation, Fairbrass Grable plans to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point and study engineering. Elliot is the son of Mark and Emily Fairbrass.
