GMC Prep School Places High in JROTC Best Raider Competition

Georgia Military College Prep School’s Raiders team traveled to Cedar Shoals High School over the weekend to compete against 14 other schools across the state in the JROTC Best Raider Competition. GMC Prep had eight cadets compete in the championship, split into two male teams, and two female teams. The cadets competed in the team run, tire flip, crate carry, physical training test, and road march. At the end of the competition, Georgia Military College Prep ranked third and fifth place in Male Overall, and first and second in Female Overall.

GMC Prep Raiders Coach, Major Robert Van Dine, says he was very happy with how his team handled the competition.

“All the Raiders that competed at the Best Raider Meet did an outstanding job,” Van Dine said. “They had limited practice time leading up to this competition, but they gave it everything they had and I’m very proud of them.”
