GMC Prep Literary Team Wins Area Championship – 5th Consecutive Year

For the 5th consecutive year, GMC Prep School’s Literary Team has captured the Area Literary Championship.  The competition was held today at First Baptist Church in Milledgeville.  The Area 4 Championship is made up of schools in Georgia High School Association Regions 6, 7, and 8; schools competing included Lincoln County High School, Trion High School, Commerce High School, Mount Zion High School, Twiggs County High School, Glascock High School and GMC Prep.  After a long day of competition, the GMC Team solidly defeated rival schools with one of our highest scores ever in Region/Area competition.

GMC Prep School – 66 Team Points (Area Champion)
Mount Zion High School – 28 Points (Area Runner Up)
Trion High School – 21 Points (3rd)
Lincoln County High School – 18 Points (4th)

Our Team now moves to the State Championship on March 12th at Wesleyan College in Macon.
