GMC Defeats visitng Arkansas Baptist 45-0

The GMC Bulldogs got out in front early and steadily pulled away from the visiting Arkansas Baptists Buffaloes as GMC evened their season record at 2-2. The GMC Offense scored the first three times it had the ball to take a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Freshman QB Anthony Riggin scored two of those touchdowns – one rushing on a 40 yard scamper and another passing to freshman Willie Carmichael on a 41 yard strike. Sophomore QB Nico Ranieri came on and went 6-7 for 56 yards and a TD toss of his own to Lonnie Outlaw as the Bulldogs went into the half with a commanding 38-0 lead. The GMC Defense notched its first shutout of the year and even added a score on a “pick 6” by freshman Reynard Reid. On the day, the Bulldog Defense held the Buffaloes to under 70 yards of total offense while the offense rolled up 38 points in only 57 plays. GMC returns to action on a short week against Valdosta State JV on Thursday night in Tifton, GA.
