GMC Cadet accepted to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

21-year-old junior college cadet, Dustin Adair will have the opportunity to pursue a life-long dream in Security & Intelligence at one of the nation’s premiere institutions. Cadet Adair has been accepted to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida where he will pursue a degree in Homeland Security.

“It’s an amazing well known school in a beautiful part of the country,” said Cadet Dustin Adair, Junior College Cadet “It has the degree I want and language services which is something else I want to look into. Homeland Security is something that is always going to be needed. You always need to look at ways to keep people safe.”

Cadet Adair is a native of Loganville, Georgia and enrolled at Georgia Military College in 2015. He is a State Service Cadet in GMC’s Corps of Cadets program and has been enlisted in the Georgia National Guard for five years. He was on the soccer team for two-years and has made the President’s and Dean’s list every quarter at GMC. Adair credits Georgia Military College for preparing him to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

“It’s been incredible,” said Adair. “The study hall and discipline has helped me to not procrastinate and it’s something that I am going to carry on to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University because it’s going to help me a lot there. GMC is a place where students can come and grow. GMC along with the support of my parents has helped me to improve so much.”

Cadet Adair will graduate in May from Georgia Military College with an Associate’s degree in General Studies. He will attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the Fall.
