Former Senator Elizabeth Dole to Present Commencement Address

The Georgia Military College Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2010 will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., on Grant Parade. The distinguished speaker will be former US Senator Elizabeth Dole. Elizabeth Dole’s career in public service has spanned nearly 50 years. She has held high-level positions in the administrations of Presidents Johnson, Nixon, Reagan and George H.W. Bush, including serving as Secretary of Transportation and Secretary of Labor. She was also President of the American Red Cross and a United States Senator representing North Carolina. She is married to Bob Dole, the former Senate Republican Leader and 1996 Republican Presidential nominee.
