Georgia Military College announced today that it is one of the first junior colleges in the state of Georgia to offer an Associate in Science and Associate in Arts in four education programs: Early Care and Education, Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, and Secondary Education.

GMC’s new Early Care and Education program will allow students to investigate best practice theories and participate in field experiences in a diverse child development setting.

Graduates may choose from a variety of career options including working in Head Start, preschool and child care programs, child life programs, and early intervention.

Those GMC graduates desiring to continue their education to become certified Early Care and Education teachers are eligible for admission as transfer students to any of the participating baccalaureate institutions offering the Early Care and Education Teacher Certification programs.
