Area golf results – Bershadsky qualifies for state tourney

The GMC prep boys golf team played the in the Area 4 tournament on April 23, 2013. Seven teams participated in the tournament and GMC missed qualifying for the region tournament by just a few strokes. This year’s team was made up of 6 freshmen and one senior: Matthew Langston, Nick Balkcom, Matt Bershadsky, Brenton Gebel, Peyton Herndon, Spencer Lowe, and Trip Williams. The top four scorers for GMC were Matthew Langston, Matt Bershadsky, Brenton Gebel, and Spencer Lowe. Matt Bershadsky shot a 78 and was the low medalist of the non-qualifying teams which automatically qualified him for the state tournament on May 20 at Double Oaks Golf Course in Commerce, Ga.
