Georgia Military College Announces Partnership with Marietta Police Department

Georgia Military College (GMC) is proud to unveil an exciting educational opportunity and partnership with the Marietta Police Department that will provide law enforcement professionals within the Marietta Police Department access to a high-quality education. With a focus on fostering character and leadership, GMC is committed to supporting our law enforcement agencies and preparing future officers to serve their communities effectively.

Effective immediately Marietta Law Enforcement Officers can enroll at Georgia Military College’s Global Online Leadership College to pursue a two-year or four-year degree without the burden of upfront costs or application fees and receive tuition reimbursement from Marietta Police Department after each quarter is complete, making education more accessible for those dedicated to serving in law enforcement.

Additionally, GMC offers the GMC Law Enforcement Public Safety Scholarship, which awards law enforcement professionals and public safety officers with a 10% reduction in tuition costs as a token of appreciation for their invaluable service to our communities. GMC is excited to extend that same offer the families of law enforcement heroes.

Furthermore, Georgia Military College is excited to announce the pending approval of its Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Criminal Justice program by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS). This program will offer even more opportunities for individuals to advance their careers in law enforcement and public safety.

“At Georgia Military College, we are deeply committed to supporting our law enforcement agencies in their current endeavors and to shaping the next generation of officers through our character-based curriculum,” stated LTGen (Ret) William B. Caldwell IV, President of Georgia Military College. “This partnership with the Marietta Police Department and our upcoming BAS in Criminal Justice program are just the beginning of our efforts to provide the leadership and education needed to serve our communities for the betterment of all citizens.”

Georgia Military College’s dedication to the principles of duty, honor, and love of country, combined with its commitment to law enforcement and public safety, emphasizes the institution’s mission to prepare individuals for meaningful careers while fostering a strong sense of responsibility to their communities.
