State Track Meet Results, Day 1

On May 9, 2013, the first day of the girls’ State Track Meet, GMC had three outstanding performances by its sophomore class. Kita Aycock took 4th in the Triple Jump with a jump of 33 feet 4 inches, while breaking her own school record for a third time this season. In the 3200 Meter (two mile) Run, Lila Mitchell placed 2nd with Elizabeth Savage coming in right behind her for 3rd. On Friday, May 10, 2013, Mitchell and Savage will return to Albany to compete in the 1600 Meter (one mile) Run.
