Rear Admiral James E. Rendon, Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, visits GMC

Georgia Military College was honored to have Rear Admiral James E. Rendon, Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, serve as the distinguished speaker for the GMC’s Dining-In ceremony on February 26, 2016.  The Dining-In is an annual formal gathering for all GMC junior college cadets and it is full of tradition and entertainment.  The cadets participate in an informal uniform inspection, a receiving line and a banquet feast.

During Rear Admiral Rendon’s visit, he spent time with GMC’s 12 Coast Guard Academy Scholars, who are attending GMC for one year in order to increase their eligibility to be accepted to the US Coast Guard Academy.   Rear Admiral James E. Rendon is pictured with the Coast Guard Academy Scholars.
