Pop Go the Classics – Thursday, April 29
Georgia Military College Steinway Concert Series will present Pop Go The Classics, starring Mac Frampton and The ThreePenny Symphony, on Thursday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m., in The Goldstein Center for the Performing Arts. Mac Frampton and the ThreePenny Symphony features classical music with a twist of pop. The group will present a variety of well known classics such as, William Tell Overture, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring and Rhapsody in Blue. Following the concert all will be invited to enjoy an outdoor reception with light jazz music provided by the Monty Cole Jazz Quintet on Grant Parade. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the GMC Office of Advancement, 431 South Jefferson Street, or at the door the evening of the performance. The mission of the Georgia Military College Steinway Society is to provide funding for the Steinway Concert Series as well as ongoing technical support for the Steinway Concert Grand in the Goldstein Center for the Performing Arts, the purchase of which has been the group’s crowning achievement.
