Prep School

The Georgia Military College Prep Middle School Wrestling Team competed in an invitational tournament in Social Circle on November 20, 2010. GMC competed among ten teams, including four teams which have placed in the top 10 at state for 1A-3A schools last year, and Jefferson Middle School which has won 11 consecutive state championships. GMC finished the day with three wrestlers in the finals with the following results: Zabian Jones, 2nd place – 80 lbs.; Dylan Efird, 2nd place – 147 lbs.; Conner Deen, 4th place – 185 lbs. GMC wrestlers who won bouts during the day included: Winston Jones, Chase Bohannon, Kevin Veal, Liam Fairbrass, and Patrick Lewis. The team scored 63 points overall, compared to 3.5 team points earned at the same tournament last year.
