Middle School Students Raise Funds for St. Jude’s

Georgia Military College middle school students recently raised $3,217 during their annual Math-A-Thon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Math-A-Thon is a supplemental math program where students obtain sponsors, then complete a “fun book” by solving a variety of math problems such as hidden messages, puzzles and pure arithmetic operations. Since 1998, GMC math students have raised nearly $30,000 to help St. Jude in its ongoing fight against childhood catastrophic diseases.
