Melder Signs with GPC

Congratulations to GMC Prep senior Mech Melder who signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Georgia Perimeter College on January 15, 2009. Mech is currently pitcher for GMC Prep and last year received the Most Valuable Pitcher Award, held the lowest ERA for the school, and was included in the Top 100 for the State of Georgia. Mech said he is very excited about the opportunity to play baseball for Georgia Perimeter and then hopefully transfer to a four-year school and continue his baseball career.

Proud parents Van and Tammie Melder, of Milledgeville, said, “We think this will be a wonderful experience for Mech and we are very proud of him for working so hard to get to this point. We look forward to traveling to see him play next year.”
