Lasseter Receives Army ROTC Scholarship

GMC Prep Student Receives Army ROTC Scholarship to Attend Presbyterian College

GMC Prep School senior Clint Lasseter was recently awarded an Army ROTC Scholarship to attend Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, in the fall of 2008. The value of this full tuition, full room and board, four-year scholarship is approximately $175,000. Mr. Lasseter was selected for this merit-based scholarship after completing an essay and rigid interview process during which Presbyterian ROTC officials said he already knew more than most incoming college freshman due to his experience and leadership training at GMC.

Lasseter, who began attending GMC Prep in the ninth grade, will be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army upon graduation from Presbyterian and will have an eight year obligation with the Army. He plans to pursue a career as a physical therapist.

Clint Lasseter has been a member of the GMC football team, drill team and track team. He is active with Relay for Life and participates in quarterly blood drives. His parents are Clinton and Ginger Lasseter of Milledgeville, Georgia. His mother, Ginger, is a 1976 graduate of GMC Prep School, and his sister, Amanda, graduated from GMC Prep in 2005.
