JCFB Wins on Road

#8 GMC travelled to #3 Ellsworth College in Iowa and came away with a hard fought 35-33 win in windy Iowa Falls.

GMC took an early lead on a solid running attack that capitalized on several Ellsworth miscues. Ellsworth knotted things up at 14-14 but GMC took the lead into half 21-14.

With the wind at their backs, Ellsworth took the lead back in the third quarter 27-21, but Jakar Hamilton intercepted a ball and returned it for a touchdown and Chris Hart converted a 2pt play for a 29-27 GMC lead. #3 Ellsworth wouldn’t die however and they responded with a drive to take the lead back 33-29.

The young Bulldogs would not be denied however as Tobias Palmer took a toss sweep the distance for his second TD of the day and the winning margin. GMC takes on #6 Navarro College at Davenport Field at 1pm.
