GMC Men’s and Women’s Soccer kicked off the season over the Labor Day weekend playing well but coming up short against two very strong teams in our conference. On Friday, GMC took on rival Middle Georgia College on Robertson Soccer Field. Both teams took their opponent into halftime with the score tied, but came up short with the ladies losing 3-1 and the men losing 6-3. Monday evening, both teams took on national power #3 Darton College on a rain soaked field and again played very well against a very strong opponent. Our ladies, shorthanded due to some key injuries, came up short 5-0 and the men battled it out to the end, finally succumbing 1-0. Thanks to those who battled the weather to come out and watch our teams!
