JC Football Signs Out Another Strong Class

Georgia Military College JC Football Signs Out Another Strong Class The GMC JC Football program had 19 former players making decisions as to where they would continue their academic and athletic college careers on Wednesday. Thirteen former Bulldogs are moving on to FBS and FCS schools and eleven individuals actually graduated early and matriculated to their destinations at mid-term. “We had a good class of student athletes this year and I am very proud of them and of how well they have done in school overall. I believe we had the largest number of mid-term graduates that we have ever had which speaks to the great job our institution does in preparing our students for success,” commented Head Coach Bert Williams. GMC linemen on both sides of the ball led the way for the class this year with several signing with FBS teams. Offensive tackles Kaleb Broome and Micah James signed with the University of South Carolina and Middle Tennessee State University respectively with TE Tyler Knight deciding to “ink” with Ohio University. Defensive linemen Leroy Vick and Brad Spivey signed with East Carolina University and Ohio University respectively while Kentorious Jackson (University of Central Florida) and Antonio Mitchum (Louisiana Tech) also signed up with rising FBS teams. Newcomer Georgia State University collected three GMC Bulldogs in LB Qwontez Mallory, FS Demazio Skelton, and CB DeMario Gunn all turning down FBS offers to go to Atlanta to play for Coach Bill Curry. “We are all excited to see how all of our departing young men will do at their new homes and we wish them the absolute best of luck and success!” Pictured(left to right), Joseph Davis, Qwontez Mallory, Kentorius Jackson, Tyler Knight, and Calvin Fuller.
