Hooks Scores in Top Ten at Buccaneer Invitational Rifle Competition
Georgia Military College Prep Rifle Team’s Captain, Caroline Hooks scored in the top ten at the Buccaneer Invitational Open at Altoona High School, Acworth, Georgia November 6, 2010. She took nineth place out of 66 shooters and returned to Milledgeville with a Buccaneer Medal. A perfect target would be scored at 200. Caroline shot scores of 196 in the prone position, 178 in the offhand/standing position and 188 in the kneeling position. Team A competitors were Hooks, Jacob Smith, T.J. Curtis and Michael Waddell. Their team score was: 2173. Team B was represented by top shooter Marissa Langston, Cameron Lowe, Kris Irvin and Kaleb Litke. Their team score was: 2056. Both teams are preparing to represent GMC Prep in the Georgia High School Association, Area 4 starting January 11,2011. The teams areinstructed by Mary Ellen Eaton and Major Tom Hall.
