GMC Prep Wins One Act State Championship

Congratulations to the GMC One Act Team for earning the rank of State Champions during the Georgia High School Association State Competition on Saturday, November 14 at Bleckley High School.

Mark Weaver, GMC One Act Director, said, “GMC drew the unenviable position of performing in the first time slot at 10:00 a.m.  The first spot is usually the ‘kiss of death’ in One Act play as the judges have to hold back scores for schools that come later in the day.  Our kids performed beautifully and kicked off the day with a masterful show that was clean, precise, energetic and polished. GMC won every award given for the state event with scores of 99, 99 and 100!   As a director, I can’t ask for anything more than that.”
