GMC loses to #7 Grand Rapids CC 49-20

GMC had opportunities but miscues in all phases of the game led to a disappointing loss on the road in Michigan.

The Bulldog Defense was challenged by the #1 offense in the country and had a difficult time giving up almost 400 yards of offense and four long scoring drives. The Bulldog offense amassed a good bit of yardage but struggled in the red zone, missing out on points on two of four trips down close. GMC special teams added their share of miscues as well, with two leading directly to scores. Over 100 yards of penalties rouded off a rough day for the Bulldog effort.

“I was very disappointed with our overall effort and execution. We played poorly against a very good team and we took one on the chin. We made mistakes in all phases we havent made all year and it clearly hurt us,” commented head coach Bert Williams. “We have a lot of work to do to correct our mistakes and get ready to play this next week.”

GMC goes on the road again this week to North Carolina to play Louisburg College.
