Georgia Military College To Break Ground For New Campus in Fayetteville Today

Today, Georgia Military College (GMC) will break ground and celebrate construction of the schooo's 10th campus, GMC Fayetteville.

When completed in 2015, GMC’s 10th and newest campus will provide vital educational offerings to an area projected to experience significant population and economic growth.  Fayetteville’s expanding business market includes Piedmont Fayette Hospital, one of the most highly-ranked and awarded hospitals in the Southeast, as well as Pinewood Atlanta Studios, a multimillion-dollar, full service film and entertainment studio expected to bring thousands of jobs to Fayetteville.

The development of GMC’s Fayetteville campus – the school’s third location in the metro Atlanta area – will include three phases of construction, with phase one including the main 25,475 square foot facility, complete with seven classrooms, labs, a library, bookstore, office space and student lounge.

GMC Fayetteville will offer all coursework and online programs available at its other campuses, taught by full-time and adjunct faculty.  In addition, GMC will work with the Fayetteville community to tailor its curriculum to the needs of the area’s workforce. Construction of the GMC Fayetteville facility is expected to be completed in July 2015.
