Georgia Military College Names Executive Director for Milledgeville Campus

Georgia Military College has named Colonel Ralph L. Kauzlarich to fill the newly created position of executive director of its Milledgeville campus. Colonel Kauzlarich, who retired July 31 from a distinguished 26-year career in the U.S. Army, began his GMC position August 1. He reports to BG Curt Rauhut, GMC Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. As executive director of the school’s main campus, Colonel Kauzlarich is responsible for developing and directing action plans in support of “Vision 2029.” The vision, conceived by GMC President, Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell, IV, outlines “four big ideas:” contribute to student success, invest in GMC’s future, grow enrollments, and think and act as one institution. “Colonel Kauzlarich is a dynamic leader with a wealth of experience in operations and program management. He has the strong background, skills and expertise to help achieve the goals we’ve established,” said General Caldwell. “Additionally, his enthusiasm for helping young people develop both their intellect and character will certainly serve our students well.” Colonel Kauzlarich says he is thrilled to join the GMC team at such an exciting time. “GMC has benefitted from incredible efforts over the years, which have transformed it into the outstanding school it is today. Under the direction of General Caldwell, I look forward to working with the Milledgeville staff and faculty, and extending my hand to all those with an interest in GMC – from the other GMC campuses to our alumni and friends, to the Milledgeville community and entire region.” Most recently, Colonel Kauzlarich has served as the Director of Operations for the U.S. Army’s Installation Management Command (IMCOM) in San Antonio, Texas. In that position, he was responsible for providing 61 services to soldiers and their families on 75 U.S Army installations worldwide, with an operating budget of more than $9.4 billion and 76,000 employees. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Masters of Military Operational Art and Science from Air University’s Air Command and Staff College, and a Masters of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. Colonel Kauzlarich is joined in Milledgeville by his wife, Stephanie, who is also a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. They have three children: daughter Allie (14), and sons Jacob (12) and Garrett (11).
