Georgia Military College Enrollment Continues To Increase

Georgia Military College announced today that the Fall Quarter enrollments for the junior college have exceeded budget projections. There are 258 junior college cadets residing on campus and 805 commuting students for a total enrollment of 1,063 for the Milledgeville campus, which exceeds Fall 2001 enrollments by 9%. Dr. Tom Webb, Director of Admissions, said that the increase could be attributed to several things, including new facilities at GMC, and higher enrollment standards at area four-year colleges. He said the motto, “Start Here, Go Anywhere” describes one of the benefits of the junior college, in that students can attain the level of education they need, and earn an associate degree from GMC, or transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor degree.
