Georgia Military College Columbus to Host Blood Drive April 29

Georgia Military College Columbus to Host Blood Drive April 29 Georgia Military College Columbus, 7300 Blackmon Road, will have the American Red Cross Bloodmobile on campus April 29 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Members of the community are invited to join us by making an appointment, as donors with appointments will have priority over walk-in donors. The blood donation process takes about an hour from start to finish. Donating blood involves registration, a confidential health screening, the actual donation time, and free refreshments after the donation. Blood donation time lasts about 6-12 minutes total. A single blood donation can be separated into components of cells, platelets and plasma, so one donation can help more than one person.
