Georgia Military College and Georgia College & State University Sign Articulation Agreement for Post-Bachelor-Level Degree Programs

Georgia Military College (GMC) and Georgia College & State University (GCSU), in the spirit of academic cooperation, signed an Articulation Agreement today that will facilitate the admission of GMC Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) graduates to GCSU graduate programs in the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business and Technology, and will waive the GMAT/GRE exam requirements for GMC students.

This Articulation Agreement marks the second agreement between the two institutions within the past year. This growing educational partnership demonstrates the dedication and commitment each institution has for the success of its students and future students. At Georgia Military College, it is essential to provide pathways to advance the achievement of its students who aspire to further their educational goals beyond GMC. In alignment with this mission Georgia College & State University expands educational opportunities for GMC BAS graduates who have the desire to obtain a post-bachelor-level degree. GSCU proudly offers a variety of degree programs in Business and Technology that GMC BAS graduates can pursue.

Through this agreement, GMC BAS Graduates who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in business and technology at GCSU and meet specified requirements have several program options. These programs include a Master of Management Information Systems (MMIS) degree and certificate programs (3.0 GPA or above), Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (MLSCM) degree program (GPA 3.0 or above and two years of work experience), and The Georgia WebMBA degree program (GPA 3.0 or above and two years of work experience). Additionally, GCSU will waive application fees and GRE/GMAT score requirements for students that meet the above-listed requirements.

“We are thrilled to grow our partnership with Georgia College in this way,” said President of Georgia Military College, Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell IV, USA (Ret). “Our Global

Online Leadership College graduates will have the GMAT/GRE exam requirement waived so that they can seamlessly continue their education at Georgia College. This creates a huge opportunity for our BAS graduates and we are grateful to partner with Georgia College to continue setting our students up for success at this exceptional institution of higher education.”

“In the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business and Technology, we are beyond appreciative of the opportunity to partner with GMC, said Dean Micheal Stratton. “Their best and brightest undergraduate students will now have pathways to enroll in our accredited and highly-ranked graduate programs in business and technology. Whether local or from afar, GMC’s undergraduate students and alumni, civilian and enlisted, are uniquely prepared to enhance the learning experiences of fellow classmates here at Georgia College & State University. Our award-winning faculty are excited to work with these adult learners to support their professional development.”

This partnership provides a clear and structured pathway for students choosing to pursue graduate degrees in business and technology, with guidance and support being provided by both institutions to help students prepare and meet the criteria to move through each step in this pathway.
