Craig and Harrison Named Wendy’s HS Heisman School Winners

GMC Prep Celebrates Outstanding Seniors in the Race for the 2009 Wendy’s High School Heisman Georgia Military College Prep School extends special congratulations to Elizabeth Craig and Matthew Harrison, who were recently named School Winners for the prestigious Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. To be eligible for this award, students must exhibit excellence in academics, athletics, and community/school leadership. The Wendy’s High School Heisman program, awarded in conjunction with the collegiate Heisman, celebrates the achievements of the nation’s top high school seniors both in and out of the classroom. Just as the collegiate Heisman is known for being the top award in college football, the Wendy’s High School Heisman award is known for being the most prestigious award at the high school level. The award encourages future leadership by recognizing well-balanced lifestyles at an early age. Elizabeth Craig and Matthew Harrison were selected as GMC’s winners based on the following accomplishments: Matthew Harrison Elizabeth Craig Joint Enrollment, Principal’s List, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Varsity Basketball, Football, Swimming, River of Life volunteer. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark H. Harrison. Joint Enrollment, Principal’s List, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Varsity Track (placed 3rd in state twice for 100 meter hurdles), Varsity Basketball. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James B.
