Chris Brown and Brendan Beasley – (CotW) Dedication and Commitment
Georgia Military College Prep School recognizes Chris Brown and Brendan Beasley for earning the Character of the Week Award in demonstrating the virtues of Dedication and Commitment. “I would like to nominate Brendan Beasley and Chris Brownas student athletes for character of the week for the virtues of dedication and commitment. Chris and Brendan are 11th graders and key members of the boys’ varsity soccer team. They have both been instrumental in helping the new 9th graders on the teamlearn the skills and strategies of the game of soccer. Because of the number of new 9th graders who came out for the team this year, GMC was able to field its first ever JV soccer team. This past weekend, there was a JV round robin tournament in Dublin. Several of the 9th and 10th graders could not comedue to conflicts with GMC’s play and the state drill team competition. Therefore I asked the 11th graders to also play so we could field a team and give the younger players the much needed experience. Chris and Brendan were the only ones who volunteered and showed up to play. Without them, we would not have been able to participate. They are true role models to the underclassmen on the team, both on and off the field.” Nominated on March 29, 2010 by Coach Bob Jaworski Boys Varsity Soccer Coach
